Rastafari And Reggae Designs In T-Shirt Printing

T-shirt printing companies often feature symbolic prints on t-shirts. These symbols include political and social images that may have significance to a minority group or may represent a counterculture movement, such as the Rastafari Movement.

According to Wikipedia, most Rastas do not think of the movement as a "religion, " but a "Way of Life." It is monotheistic, worshiping only one God, which they call Jah. However, this God is not a vague Almighty Being in the heavens, but incarnated as Haile Selassie I, the last Emperor of Ethiopia.

Rastafari has Afrocentric ideologies and teachings. Its members support the spiritual use of cannabis, or marijuana. It also has a three-color flag-red, green and yellow-with a silhouette of a lion printed at the center.

Bob Marley And Rastafari In T-Shirt Printing

The strong association of Rastafari with reggae is partly because of Bob Marley's celebrity status and his membership in the movement. Bob Marley is one of the most popular Rastas in the world, and his popularity has helped spread the influence of the Rastafari Movement in the world.

Bob Marley's signature image-his wide smile and his dreadlocks-is one of the most popular designs in t-shirt printing. His face has been printed in different versions, either as a pencil sketch or as a photograph. The prints show Bob Marley in different poses, while singing onstage or with his head thrown back in carefree laughter.

Bob Marley heavily incorporated Rastafarian chants in his song. Aside from Marley, other reggae musicians also used music to spread the teachings of Rastafari. Musicians like Peter Tosh and Bunny Wailer have integrated Rastafarian doctrine in their songs.

Red, Green And Gold In RastafariT-Shirt Printing

The Rastafari colors are green, red and gold, the same hues found in its flag. At the center of the flag the silhouette of a roaring lion stands proud while the horizontal stripes of the three colors are in the background.

Sometimes, the three colors serve as background to or were superimposed on top of Bob Marley's image. In a sketch of Marley's face, the same three colors were mixed with the dark lines. Other times, the lyrics of Bob Marley's songs accessorize the image.

Red signifies the blood of Black Jamaican martyrs, green represents the lushness of the Ethiopan or Jamaican countryside, and gold signifies the wealth of Africa. Sometimes, black is included as a reference to the Marcus Garvey movement.

Cannabis In Rastafari T-Shirt Printing

Cannabis or ganjah is very important to the Rastafari. Its use is a sacrament to the practice of the Rastafari faith. Rastas believe that burning marijuana leave and inhaling its smoke opens up the mind to the truth. The role of cannabis in Rastafari is similar to the role of wine in the Catholic mass.

The fundamental value of cannabis in Rastafari is repeatedly expressed in t-shirt printing as shirt designs. The five-branch marijuana leaf is also one of the most popular emblems of the Rastafari movement.

These famous symbols of the Rastafari and reggae have been reproduced in countless custom printed t-shirts all over the world. Fans of Bob Marley are frequently seen wearing these shirts, even those who are not believers of the Rastafari faith.

Can someone interpret my dream for me?
I dreamt that I was being shown around a new job at the hostel where my ex (whom I hate) lives, he had just got out the shower and was walking up the corridor with wet hair and wearing a towel (my gods he showered for a change >_<) he saw me and called me a piece of sh!t, saying they'll employ anyone. I said something, but I'm not sure what. The people showing me the job (a young blonde girl and an older blonde woman) then went off somewhere and I went outside but instead of where this hostel is it was a huge field and there was a graveyard, my job was to *look after it* but all I did was stand and watch the graves, waiting for something to happen and started to fill in some dug graves. I then just wandered off and was in my local town centre, but it had changed so there were no roads, only fields and grass, I saw some people from my school days, but they ran off from me, and as I was walking across where the road should have been it started to pour with rain. I was then suddenly in a place I've never seen before but have often dreamt about, narrow cobbled streets, seriously narrow, full of pubs and shops and things. I sat down outside a pub, the reason being because there was a rastafarian flag on the table (I'm rasta). I sat down, looking soggy and miserable and a dreadlocked man (who was gorgeous, but was not someone I have seen before, and was not my boyfriend) sat next to me, he had my favorite dread colours, light blondes and browns. He told me I looked sad and offered me his hoodie, which was a pale bluey colour. He then told me that I shouldn't look so sad when good things are coming to me, he smiled at me, and I remember his beautiful big brown eyes. He then told me to go and wash my makeup as it had ran, and I remember going to go into the toilets that were down a long, scary dark alley, it made me feel uncomfortable, but the guy then said that those were not for me, and led me to some normal pub ones, I don't remember how they looked. He then hugged me, and I must have woken up. What does this mean? The guy looked like the kind of guy I always wanted to meet, but never did, skinny, tall, beautiful dreadlocks and with a light beard and moustache. He was wearing a green top, it looked like hemp and some cargo type trousers, sometimes his dreads would be tied up with a white and gold dreadband, sometimes not. I am happy with my boyfriend but sometimes we argue as we are having to move soon and it's all pressurey, and this gets me down. I'm terrified of my ex as he used to push me around and went to hit me a few times.
